Contracting for Content Creators & Influencers

This video course is directed to Content Creators & Influencers who are engaging in contracted work with brands or other parties. The goal of the course is to teach issue spotting so that the Content Creator can identify issues that may affect their payment terms or the content they create. In this course, the viewer will learn the responsibilities and expectations of the contracting parties, risk management through contracting, confidentiality provisions and non-disclosure agreements, setting clear payment terms, non-disparagement provisions, intellectual property issues for the creator (use of brand materials and trademarks, licensing, and “work for hire” provisions), contract termination or expiration provisions, the importance of the most often overlooked contract “boilerplate”, the interaction of various contracting provisions, and disclosure and disclaimers required for affiliate links and programs.
